Update about CityHill Northshore Sunday Services

CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) OFFICIAL UPDATE FROM CITYHILL NORTHSHORE
Dear CityHill Northshore Church Family:
Dear friends, neighbors, guests:

Please be informed about the current situation regarding COVID-19 (Coronavirus). Every day, and each news story, brings new developments related to the virus that affects our community, our nation, and the world.
Uncertainty can be unsettling, but we are writing to assure you that our God is still on the throne and is faithful to His promise – He will never leave or forsake you; "and behold I am with thee and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest; .... for I will not leave you until I have done what I have told you." (Gen. 28:15)
The pastoral team of CityHill Northshore is closely monitoring the situation and continue to maintain clean and sanitary conditions of the Church premises in Kenmore, WA. The building is cleaned weekly using the disinfectants from the CDC list. Our bathrooms are being regularly cleaned and sanitized. Hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes are available (while supplies last) across the premises. All those who continue to visit the building each week can rest assured, and take comfort in, that we are taking necessary precautions regarding COVID-19. We also ask you to be prudent on your part, exercise caution, and follow the recommendations established by the CDC, namely:

• Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
• Stay home when you are sick, except to get medical care.
• Cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue.
• Clean frequently touched surfaces and objects daily (e.g., tables, countertops, light switches,
doorknobs, and cabinet handles) using a regular household detergent and water.
• Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.

Please refer to online resources for more information: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019- ncov/index.html We understand that there is no single solution that works for everyone; therefore we encourage you to use wisdom and do what you feel is best for you and your family.

Regarding Sunday Services
At this point, most are aware that Governor Jay Inslee, in an effort to restrict the spread of COVID-19, issued a ban on gatherings and events of more than 250 people, which clearly impacts us as a church community.
As we comply to this order, we choose to move forward with wisdom and faith. However, the necessary quantitative restrictions will be applied to our services and gatherings.

1.) We are not canceling our Sunday meetings, and they will be held as usual:
10 AM – English speaking service
12 PM – Russian speaking service
In the same time, the quantity of attendees will be limited in accordance with the current ban.
2.) We are strongly encouraging everyone who speaks and understands English to visit the 10 AM service in order to avoid overcrowding the Sanctuary and other areas at the 12 PM service.
3.) Attendee placement in the Sanctuary will be done in accordance with the recommendations of CDC. Entry and exit of attendees will be orderly coordinated by the ushers’ team in order to avoid overcrowding and close contact. We are strongly asking everyone to show maximum
understanding and cooperation and follow the instructions of the ushers’ team!
4.) Sunday school and Pre-School will be closed this Sunday March 15. Please refer to our website, church app, and social media for information and further updates.
5.) Nursery will be open for kids up to 3 years old subject to stricter precaution measures.
6.) We are encouraging the elderly, pregnant moms and those who breastfeed, those who have
underlying health conditions as well as those who the CDC and Washington State Department of Health deem as “higher-risk” (Vulnerable population) to stay home and enjoy our service online.
7.) Currently, we ask everyone to refrain from excessive handshakes, hugs, and other forms of tactile contact and to follow the increased standards of sanitation and personal hygiene.

We will focus our prayers on those affected by COVID-19, on medical professionals and government leaders, and on our country during our services.

Regarding Midweek Services
Our weekly meeting, including Friday Youth Service, Tuesday Prayer and Teen Services, kids and teens choir, Alfa-Course, home groups will also continue as scheduled. Please refer to our website, church app, and social media for information and further updates.

We are optimistic about the future and hope that you feel the same way! We gain strength when we are united in prayer! Continue to pray for our state, church, city, nation, and the entire world. John 14: 27 says: "Peace I leave to you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, and let it not be afraid."

Let us trust in God's promises and not give in to fear.

With love,
CityHill Northshore Church pastoral Committee
